This is a short notice about a small service. It describes what actually happens when you type a question into Hablox, and nothing else.
The service is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], at [OPERATOR POSTAL ADDRESS]. You can reach a person at [CONTACT EMAIL].
There are no accounts
You do not sign up, and we do not ask for your name, your email address or any payment details. There is nothing here to log in to.
What we collect
- The question you type. It is sent to the model that builds your explainer, and it is written to our server log so we can tell which kinds of question the system handles badly. Please do not type anything into that box you would not want stored.
- The explainer that comes back. Saved so it has a permanent link. It is a draft until you choose otherwise.
- One cookie. When your first explainer is saved we set a cookie called
ie_ownercontaining a random identifier and a signature. It is how the site recognises that this browser made a particular explainer, so you can come back and share or publish it. It is not readable by scripts, it follows you nowhere else, and it contains nothing about you. - Ordinary server records. Timing, whether a request succeeded, and how much a generation cost, along with the network address the request came from for rate limiting. We do not run advertising or third-party analytics.
Who else sees it
- Anthropic receives your question, because that is the model that writes the explainer. Their terms govern what they do with it.
- Our hosting and database providers, [HOSTING PROVIDER] and [DATABASE PROVIDER], hold the data because they run the servers it sits on.
Nobody else. We do not sell anything to anyone.
What is public
A new explainer is a draft: it has an unguessable link, only the browser that made it can open it, and search engines are asked to skip it. Nothing becomes visible to other people until you press a button that says so. Sharing gives it a link anyone can open; publishing additionally allows search engines to index it. You can move it back to private at any time from the page itself.
How long we keep it
Explainers are kept until you or we delete them. Server logs are kept for [LOG RETENTION PERIOD].
What you can ask for
Email [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will delete an explainer, or tell you what we hold, or correct something. Please include the link. Because there are no accounts, the link is the only way we can identify what is yours — which also means anyone holding it can make the same request, so treat a private link as private. Clearing your cookies removes the identifier from your browser; it does not delete anything already saved, so send us the link if that is what you want.
If you are in a jurisdiction that grants you statutory data rights, those rights apply and are not limited by this notice.
